Ales and Lager
Ales are beer brewed with “top fermentation” where the yeast rises. Characteristics of an ale is that it has rich taste and complicated bouquet, but fruity flavor.
Lagers are beer brewed with “bottom fermentation” where the yeast settles. The characteristics of lager is that the taste is mild and smooth with a bitter aftertaste.
