Class A and Class B Shochu
Class A shochu has alcohol content of under 36% through “multiple distillation.” Due to the multiple distillation alcohol of higher purity is obtained.
Class B shochu has alcohol content of under 45% through “single distillation.” Since it is only distilled once the taste of the ingredients can be better enjoyed.
Overview:
・Distillation after fermenting either rice, what, buckwheat, sweet potato or potato. Distilled drink from Japan, equivalent to that of whisky of the United Kingdom or the cognac of France.
・It is thought to have come from Thailand via Okinawa 500 years ago.
